FAQs

Q. How do I ask a question in re:Post?
A. Follow these instructions:

  1. Navigate to https://repost.aws and use your BuilderID to sign in.
2, From the menu, choose Questions.
  2. Choose Filter Question, and then search to see if your question has already been asked.
    • Choose the AWS Cloud Institute filter to see all of the re:Post content specific to AWS Cloud Institute
    • Filter by course name to see all of the re:Post content specific to the course.
  3. If you don’t see anything that addresses your question, choose the "Ask question" button to post your own question.

Tips:

  • Questions and answers will persist indefinitely, so you can search for questions from prior courses.
  • Time-sensitive questions, like “What day does the course end?” should go in Slack instead of re:Post.

Q. How do I ask a question in Slack?
A. At the start of each quarter, you are automatically enrolled in a Slack channel for each course. If you have a question or comment about the course, you can post it to this channel.
When a live event begins, you instructor will begin a thread in the course channel. If you have a question or comment about something being discussed in the live event, or you want to respond to a question from the instructor, use this thread instead of the main course channel.

Q. What if I need help?
A. For course or lab related help, attend an Office Hour to ask your questions and get support. If you have a program, financial, login, password, or other question that is not related to a specific course, please contact Customer Service at https://support.aws.amazon.com/#/contacts/aws-training. You may also use the Get Help link pinned at the top of any of the course Slack channels.

Q. When I attend a live event, I see a chat feature. Should I use it to ask questions?
A. Anything posted using the chat feature will be lost when the event ends, so it is better to use the Slack thread that the instructor creates at the beginning of each live event. The exception to this is during Office Hours. The WebEx chat feature can be useful to communicate in small group setting like Office Hours.
