AWS ACE partners using the AWS Partner CRM Connector or a custom ACE integration

- ACE partners who see validation error "Record is not editable"
AWS Answer:
When a you send a new partner referred opportunity (PO), it goes through the validation process and the APN Customer Engagement (ACE) team must approve or reject it.
While the opportunity is in review and has not yet been validated, you cannot update the record, and you will receive this error if your CRM attempts to send an update.

In other words, the message "Record is not editable" indicates the opportunity is not yet approved by AWS.
You'll get a similar error message when your CRM sends an update for an opportunity that is already closed lost or launched.
For those using the CRM connector:
In these cases, you can prevent the sync errors by unchecking "Sync with AWS" for each specific opportunity.
More specifically,
- Uncheck "Sync with AWS" for opps not yet approved. Then when AWS sends an approval update the connector will automatically mark "Sync with AWS" as checked.
- Uncheck "Sync with AWS" for all closed opps (closed lost or launched).
This is important since closed opps can no longer be edited and it's best practice to prevent your CRM connector from attempting to send updates for closed opportunities.
