Amazon GameLift Servers Realtime now supports Node.js 24.x on Amazon Linux 2023

Hello Amazon GameLift Servers developers,

We're excited to announce that Amazon GameLift Servers Realtime now supports Node.js 24.x on Amazon Linux 2023. This update provides you with access to the latest Node.js features and security improvements while running on the modern Amazon Linux 2023 operating system.

With this release, you can now leverage Node.js 24.x when creating Realtime scripts, ensuring your game servers benefit from the most recent runtime enhancements and security patches. Additionally, we've introduced the ability to include an optional install script when creating a Realtime fleet. This new capability allows you to install custom software during instance startup, giving you greater flexibility to configure your fleet instances for your specific requirements.

Getting Started: To use the new runtime version, simply specify Node.js 24.x when creating your Realtime scripts. If you need to install additional software, you can now include an install script during fleet creation. This feature is available today in all Amazon GameLift Servers supported regions. We'd love to hear your feedback on how this update improves your development experience.
