Learn how re:Post community members can use newly launched features to stay up to date!

1. Reminders to accept or upvote answers that were helpful

re:Post community members are surfaced a reminder to accept an answer (for question authors only) or to upvote answers that were helpful. Accepting and upvoting answers will help other members get more trusted answers, and reduce the time spent searching for answers.

What can members look out for on re:Post?

  1. Question authors have a more prominent call-to-action (CTA) to accept the answer that was helpful. Members will see a reminder on top of the answer and an orange "Accept" button that changes to gray after it is clicked.

  1. Similarly, community members who aren't the question author will see a reminder to upvote answers that they found helpful.

How does accepting or upvoting answers help other community members?

Accepting and upvoting helpful answers helps other members locate trusted answers when browsing through questions with multiple answers. Additionally, members can earn points for accepting or upvoting answers.

  • Earn 10 pts if your answer to a question is accepted by the question author
  • Earn 1 pt if you accepted the correct answer to your question (you can only accept one)
  • Earn 1 pt if your question or answer is upvoted by community members

2. Multiple emails

Community members have the flexibility to add up to three email addresses to their re:Post profile. Members can designate a primary email account for receiving notifications.

How can members use multiple emails?

  1. If the member doesn’t receive the verification email during registration, they can add and verify a new email address.

  1. When linking a new AWS Credly certification, if an error message is received, members can add the email address that's associated with the Credly account and then link the AWS certification successfully.

  1. Members can link their professional and personal email addresses to their re:Post profile.

3. Deep links

Deep links are hyperlinks associated with a specific answer or comment on a question, community-generated article, or Knowledge Center (KC) article on re:Post. Community members can use deep links to refer other members to a specific answer or comment on re:Post. Deep links can also be used to locate specific answers or comments faster. Members can post a direct link to share their knowledge on social media or to send to colleagues and friends.

How can members use deep links?

  1. Click the "share" button on a specific answer or comment to a re:Post question, community-generated article, or a KC article.

  1. Share the link with another member or anywhere else.
  2. The receiver of the hyperlink is routed directly to the shared answer or comment. The specific answer or comment is highlighted.
