You can now track hardware performance metrics for your Amazon GameLift managed fleets in the Amazon GameLift console. These metrics include EC2 instance metrics for CPU utilization, network traffic volume, and disk read/write activity.

You can now track hardware performance metrics for your Amazon GameLift managed fleets in the Amazon GameLift console under the Fleet Details page. These metrics include EC2 instance metrics for CPU utilization, network traffic volume, and disk read/write activity. The list of new metrics added is as follows:

  • CPU utilization – The percentage of an instance's processing power being used to run the game servers.
  • Disk read bytes – The volume of data the application reads from the hard disk of the instances.
  • Disk write bytes – The volume of data the application writes to the hard disk of the instances.
  • Disk read ops – Completed read operations from instance store volumes available to an instance in a specified period of time.
  • Disk write ops – Completed write operations to instance store volumes available to an instance in a specified period of time.
  • Network in – The volume of incoming network traffic to an application on an instance.
  • Network out – The volume of outgoing network traffic to an application on an instance.

These hardware metrics are standard EC2 instance metrics. For Amazon GameLift, these metrics represent hardware performance across all active instances in a fleet location.
