Amazon GameLift adds support to deploy and host game servers running on managed container fleets from the Unity and Unreal Engine plugins, and adds support for Unreal Engine V5.4 and V5.5 to the Unreal Engine plugin
We are thrilled to announce that Amazon GameLift now supports creating managed container fleets directly through our Unreal Engine plugin and Unity plugin!
On November 13, 2024, Amazon GameLift unveiled the general availability of container support, empowering developers to build, deploy, and run game servers packaged for containers seamlessly. This feature enables end-to-end development of containerized workloads, supporting deployment and scaling on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid configurations. This release allows developers to iterate faster, allowing updates to container fleets from within the plugin user interface, adding usability improvements that make it easier to setup, configure, and deploy container fleets when using Unity and Unreal Engine.
With this launch, we extend support for creating container fleets within our game engine plugins.
