AWS Transfer Family announces Drummond Group Applicability Statement 2 (AS2) Certification

AWS Transfer Family has earned the official Drummond Group AS2 Cloud Certification Seal. Drummond Group is an independent provider of testing and certification services for various industry standards and protocols. This certification verifies that AWS Transfer Family’s Applicability Statement 2 (AS2) capabilities are compatible and interoperable with fourteen third-party AS2 vendors commonly used for business-to-business (B2B) communication.

AS2 is a widely used protocol for electronic data interchange (EDI) within the retail, healthcare, and supply chain & logistics industries. It facilitates communication integrity with non-repudiation and encryption enabled by default. AWS customers that rely on AS2 for their B2B communications use AWS Transfer Family’s highly available, scalable, and globally available AS2 endpoints to cost effectively, reliably, and securely exchange transactional EDI messages with trading partners. Messages exchanged with AWS Transfer Family are stored in Amazon S3 and are accessible for processing, analysis, and machine learning, as well as for integrations with enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and supply chain management (SCM) systems.
