Problem Statement

Organizations sending emails on behalf of multiple customers or business units struggle to maintain separate email sending reputations within a single Amazon SES account. When one tenant follows poor email practices, it can negatively impact deliverability for all other tenants sharing the same account. Without tenant-level isolation, businesses lack visibility into tenant-specific metrics and cannot take targeted actions to address reputation issues, putting their overall email deliverability at risk and potentially affecting critical communications across all customers or business units.

Solution

Amazon SES now offers tenant management capabilities that enable isolation and reputation management at the individual tenant level. This new feature allows you to create multiple tenants within a single SES account, each with dedicated configuration sets, identities, and templates. . If reputation issues are detected, SES can automatically pause the affected tenant while allowing others to continue sending, protecting overall deliverability. Customers can choose from three reputation policy options (Standard, Strict, or None) to control automation levels, and receive notifications through Amazon EventBridge when tenant status changes or reputation findings are detected, enabling seamless integration with existing monitoring workflows.
