Resolution

If ACM certificate requests aren't validated within 72 hours from the time of the request, then the requests fail with the "validation time out error". To resolve this error, first [delete the failed ACM certificate](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/acm/latest/userguide/gs-acm-delete.html). Then, [request a new ACM certificate](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/acm/latest/userguide/gs-acm-request-public.html).
