HLS CHARACTERISTICS Values

Question

Hi,

We use MediaLive for Live streaming. Our streams have multiple audio tracks with one track being use for Descriptive Video Service (DVS). For proper presentation on Apple devices the track must be marked with the attribute CHARACTERISTICS="public.accessibility.describes-video".

How do we apply the attribute to the audio track?

AWS MediaLIve does support something similar to what you request. For each **Output **created, select the **Audio **stream under **Stream Settings**. Expand the *Additional Settings* drop menu and there will be field label **Audio Type**. Select *VISUALLY_IMPAIRED_COMMENTARY*. Check if this works for your application.
