How much time it takes to recive mail in user's Workmail mailbox?

I have sent a mail to the user's mail via EWS from the Workmail account. After sending mail, I fetch the recipient's mailbox it has not been received. I have added some timeout still it returns empty. Usually how much time it takes?

Answer

Once the mail is received by Workmail/SES, it is sent out within a few seconds to the recipient mail server. A mail server may have  accepted the mail but there might have been a delay in delivering this to the recipient's inbox due to various reasons, for example, a spam filter or overloaded mail server.
