Creating a workspace for an AWS EMR Studio results in Javascript error

When I try to create a new workspace for an AWS EMR Studio in the AWS Console, I get a blank page and a Javascript error in the console ("Failed to execute 'mark' on 'Performance': Symbol(react.element) could not be cloned")

Browser used: Chrome, latest version 120.0.6099.129 (arm64) on MacBook Pro, Apple M1 Max.

Expected behavior: browser shows a new page to create an EMR Studio workspace or a useful error message like "number of possible workspaces exceeded" (if that is the reason why a new one can not be created).

This is clearly a bug in AWS and/or EMR Studio. When will it be fixed and what can I do as a workaround?
