Tried to delete AWS Managed Role

0

Hi,

I tried to delete a AWS Role and now this warning is under the role seems like it will not refresh. I know it don't matter but I am kinda OCD about it. Any way to get the message to go away?

Thank You!

AWSServiceRoleForElasticLoadBalancing Deletion failed.

I'd suggest you to go through this AWS Documentation, which says that you shouldn't try to delete this role as these AWS managed rules are completely AWS managed and it'd receive all the updates automatically.

I understand this message "Deletion failed" would appear with failed attempt but it would not affect the usage of this role at all.

Hope this helps.

  • @blackbird: I just added one more pointer.

  • Yes it helps and I understand that it does not affect the role at all I was just wondering if that Delition failed message under the role will ever go away now. Its been there all day :)

  • Yes, this would eventually go, it takes little while to get away that message. :)

  • Hi, I believe, you won't be seeing that message "Deletion failed" anymore. If you still see that message, please comment here. Based on my experience this message goes away but takes some time. On your question I did it for some of my role as well, and that messages tyed for quite a few days but now gone as I mentioned earlier, it will go away eventually.
