Amazon QuickSight access error

0

Hello team, I am trying to access amazonbi account on Amazon QuickSight, i have requested access and it seems i should have permissions to view the required dashboard, however when i try to login, the following error message is showing on the page: error "Error when authenticating" followed by a Request id Is there something that a local administrator is required to do? Can someone please provide some guidance. Thanks

Check User Permissions:

Ensure that the user requesting access has the correct permissions within Amazon QuickSight. The user should be assigned a "Reader", "Author", or "Admin" role depending on the level of access required. Verify that the IAM user or role associated with the account has the necessary permissions to access QuickSight resources.

Account and Subscription Verification:

Confirm that the Amazon QuickSight account (amazonbi) is correctly set up and subscribed. Sometimes, issues can arise if the account isn't fully activated or the subscription has lapsed.

Re-request Access:

If the permissions were recently granted, try re-requesting access or contact the local administrator to ensure that your account was properly added and configured within QuickSight.

Check AWS Region:

Ensure that you are trying to access QuickSight in the correct AWS region. Accessing QuickSight in the wrong region could lead to authentication issues.

Local Administrator Actions:

The local administrator may need to verify that your email or user account has been correctly added to the QuickSight account. They should also check the QuickSight group memberships to ensure that you belong to the correct group with appropriate access permissions.

Request ID Follow-Up:

If the error persists, note the request ID provided in the error message and contact AWS Support. Providing the request ID will help AWS Support diagnose the issue more effectively.

Clear Cache and Cookies:

Sometimes browser cache or cookies can cause authentication issues. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies or using a different browser to see if that resolves the issue.

  • Thank you for you answer, i have tried clearing cache already, and i re-requested access today, it seems that i should have the permissions based on the team that provides the access, i am unsure who is local admin for amazonbi account, also it seems that i am the only one having this problems, with other account users being able to access with no issues. I will try to find out who is responsible for the admin of the specified account, and if need be will provide the request id. Thank you for your answer.
