vt1 instance - xlinx video SDK ffmpeg missing https protocol

I am interested in the video encoding potential of vt1.3xlarge using xlinx acceleration. The SDK includes ffmpeg - but the openssl libraries are not linked. So I can't use s3 objects as video sources directly.https://xilinx.github.io/video-sdk/v3.0/using_ffmpeg.html#introduction In the AWS environment, reading video sources directly from s3 is a huge time saver. 4k video sources can be huge - upto 1 TB, so I don't want to be copying them to EC2 instance in order to expose them to ffmpeg. I tried to recompile ffmpeg myself but I think the link is missing in one of the xilinx modified modules. Anyone had experience of this? Thanks in advance
