How can I download my entire website from AWS S3?

How can I download my whole website from AWS S3? I think that I know what is going wrong with my website updates. For some reason, when I transfer files to my AWS S3 folder, it is not copying the files but moving the files to AWS and removing them from my computer.

My website on AWS is working 100% but the backup/original files on my computer are broken now.

The most straightforward method is to use `aws s3 sync s3://[your_bucket]/ [local_directory]`

The also has the advantage that in subsequent runs it will only copy files that are new or have changed since the previous time it was run.
