How to enable bin logs for Aurora MYSQL8.0 Serverless v2?

As per the [doc](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/USER_LogAccess.MySQL.BinaryFormat.html) on enabling bin log, I have set the automatic backup retention to non-zero (2 days) and set the `binlog_format` to `ROW` using custom cluster parameter group.

However, when I query `show global variables like 'log_bin'`, I still get `OFF` as a value for it. So, how do I enable the bin logs for Aurora mysql serverless v2 cluster?

Answer

You must reboot the writer instance in the DB cluster for your changes to apply.
