Difference between custom classification and custom entity recognition in Amazon Comprehend

Custom classification
For example, given an article or text about sports, a function to determine which category it belongs to: soccer, baseball, or basketball.
One use case that comes to mind is when you want to classify documents by content.

Custom entity recognition
For example, when given an article or text about soccer, a function to detect specific information such as team names, player names, uniform numbers, etc.
One use case that comes to mind is that it can be used to extract important information from documents.
