Access multiple HTML sites in S3 bucket with one CloudFront distribution

Hello,
I have a S3 Bucket with two folders:
Manual
FactSheets

Those folders have subfolders like 3.2, 3.3 and so on. In every subfolder an index.html file is placed which serves the static webpage.

I want to access those different subfolders with my own subdomain, e.g. manual.example.de/Manual/3.2/index.html but with only one CloudFront distribution.
So I have to build a URL like this: cloudfront.net/Manual/3.2/index.html .

I already set index.html as the root file in my S3 origin. Can you help me with this issue?

Answer

You’ll need an ACM certificate in us-east-1 for your custom domain.  If you intend to use multiple domain names on your CDN ensure you add the additional names to the ACM.

Then edit your cloudfront distribution and configure your  Alternate Domain Name selecting the ACM certificate.

That should get you up and running.
