Route53 Internal Domain Transfer Stuck In Progress

Hello,

I began the domain transfer of a .com, .ca, and .net domain, from one AWS account to another, on October 25th. Over two weeks later, the status was still "In progress". I figured something went wrong so I cancelled the request yesterday. The transfer is still showing as "In progress". I am not sure what else I can do at this point.

Raise a support call with AWS. Even if you are on a basic support plan you can still do this for domain registration and transfer issues.

AWS provides a Basic support plan, free of charge, for all AWS customers. The plan includes assistance for the following issues related to domain registration:

  • Transferring domains to or from Amazon Route 53
  • Transferring domains between AWS accounts
