Amplify Push is Stuck on "Uploading Files"

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue where my Amplify app gets stuck on "uploading files" during amplify push, and the deployment never starts. This originally happened with my development version, and after trying various troubleshooting steps without success, I decided to create a new Amplify app.

I used amplify pull to bring the new app to my local environment, made changes to the data model, and tried pushing those changes. However, I encountered the same issue—amplify push freezes at the exact same point with the verbose log showing "uploading files."

I've tried different IDEs and various troubleshooting methods, but nothing has worked. I’m unable to proceed with my work due to this issue and would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve it.

Can you do the following and provide an errors you may be seeing?

To get more insight into what's happening during the "uploading files" step, try increasing the verbosity of the Amplify logs. You can do this by running amplify push --verbose or amplify pull --verbose

Along with anything that is showing in Amplify logs, which are located in the .aws-amplify directory in your project

As there are many things that can be causing this from Network/Firewall to IAM permissions between AWS services.
