not able to connect to the flaskapi which is deployed on elastic beanstalk

Question

We have deployed a flask api on elastic beanstalk and we are experiencing the below error logs:

*2024/03/18 12:55:26 [error] 651354#651354: *9 connect() failed (111: Connection refused) while connecting to upstream, client: 106.222.203.218, server: , request: "POST / HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://127.0.0.1:8000/", host: "cst-ds-env.eba-3ptisxkr.us-west-1.elasticbeanstalk.com"*

we have configured Elastic Beanstalk as per the default configuration. Could any one help us to resolve the issue.

Hi There,

How did you deploy the application?, that error appears to be communication error to upstream from nginx based on some StackOverflow [posts](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/66797721/nginx-connect-failed-111-connection-refused-while-connecting-to-upstream)

But, I just deployed a Flask app by following the steps here https://docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/latest/dg/create-deploy-python-flask.html 
I would recommend you follow the documented steps and keep expanding/updating  the application

If you encounter an error with werkzeug try this SO [fix](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/77213053/why-did-flask-start-failing-with-importerror-cannot-import-name-url-quote-fr) , also install the eb [cli](https://github.com/aws/aws-elastic-beanstalk-cli-setup)
