How do I send alarms to multiple users in AWS IoT SiteWise?

Resolution

To send AWS IoT SiteWise alarms to multiple users, configure AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) users in the AWS IAM Identity Center. Because the IAM Identity Center limits notifications to a single recipient, you can use a distribution list to send the notifications to multiple users.

Complete the following steps:

1. For your email provider, create a distribution list that includes all users you want to notify of an AWS IoT SiteWise alarm.
   Example: iot_alerts@yourdomain.com.
2. Add a user to your Identity Center directory. For the Primary email field, enter the distribution list email.
3. Choose Send email verification link. A member of the distribution list can verify the email address.
4. To send notifications to the user, update the notification settings for your AWS IoT SiteWise alarm.
5. To verify that the alarm is updated, send an email to the user. To send the email from a verified source, use Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES).
