NumberOfEmptyReceives vs NumberOfMessagesReceived vs NumberOfMessagesSent

Question

Couldnt identify the correct metric to plot and alarm.

My usecase is to check the no of message received in SQS queue and no of message it has processed. 
The queue receives message from SNS topic and trigger batch of message to Lambda

You can find the meaning of each metric [here](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSSimpleQueueService/latest/SQSDeveloperGuide/sqs-available-cloudwatch-metrics.html).

To find the number of messages sent to the queue, you need to look at NumberOfMessagesSent. To check the number of messages processed, you need to look at NumberOfMessagesDeleted, as after a successful processing of messages, you need to delete them from the queue.
