When listening to neural voice Ivy, English US, if you type string "The dog's name is Cal." Ivy is going to read it as "The dog's name is California." How can I stop this?

For this purpose, you want to use SSML tags: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/polly/latest/dg/supportedtags.html

In your case, you probably want to use <sub> or <say-as>
