EC2 Instance Issue

I would need more information to answer the above question asked. Can you please elaborate more on the question? Please elaborate on steps performed.

When you hover your mouse pointer over the "open address" text in blue, the bottom-left corner of your browser will indicate the URL which would be opened. On mine it is always https://[public_IP] meaning it will always try https, and never plain http.

This is likely a default setting of the AWS Console and I can't see anywhere that it can be changed.

Depending on the browser you're using (and in some cases, depending on whether you are in normal or private browsing mode) if you enter an IP on its own in the address bar the browser may attempt to use plain http first.
