EC2: Tagging Metadata (Get Tag Created Date/Time)

Question

I hope you can help me.

I would like to retrieve the timestamp of when a tag was last updated (or created if it's never been edited).

I was hoping to use Python (with boto3) to retrieve this information.  I have investigated and it doesn't appear that this information is available.  Does anyone know any different?

Hi There

If you have CloudTrail enabled, you can retrieve the information from the trail.  For example, you can look for an event from the CreateTags API call on a particular EC2 instance.  (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/APIReference/API_CreateTags.html)
