Are the clocks in docker containers in Fargate synced with the host?

Hi,

Are the clocks of docker containers running in Fargate synced with the host and is that host running ntp? 
I read that on stackoverflow that, since you can't run ntp in a container in fargate, the container will sync with the host clock. However I can't find this is the AWS documentation anywhere if this is indeed the case and if not how to configure this in fargate.

Hi,

yes, the Fargate tasks clock is synced with the host. You can't do any custom configuration about it, but you can monitor the accuracy if your application is time-sensitive: https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2021/09/monitoring-clock-aws-fargate-amazon-ecs/
