DNS not propogating correctly?

0

I'm having trouble with DNS not propogating correctly. I've had my domain for quite some time, so I don't think it should be an issue of TTL. I recently updated the A and CNAME records, but that was over 24 hours ago, so again, I think there should be enough time. If I do an NS lookup from ns-1277.awsdns-31.org (one of the authoritative name servers) then I get the correct response, but otherwise I do not.

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

You have two hosted zones with the same name, created by two different accounts. The name servers for one hosted zone are assigned to the domain registration for fenthouse.com, but you added A and CNAME records to the other hosted zone. I recommend that you add the records to the other hosted zone instead of updating the domain registration with different name servers.

Hi,

If you post your domain name, I'll take a look at your DNS configuration.

I appreciate the reply, but I'll be honest, your answer has gone over my head. Can you explain a little more in depth exactly what I need to do? Thank you.

Hi,

You have two AWS accounts. Each account has a hosted zone named fenthouse.com. You only see one hosted zone because the console shows you only the resources that are associated with the AWS account that you're currently logged in with.

You want to update the hosted zone that has an ID that begins with ZSQHGP. This hosted zone was created using the AWS account with an ID that begins with 78938. You'll want to add the A and CNAME records to that hosted zone.

Your domain registration isn't currently using the other hosted zone, which has a hosted zone ID that begins with Z1OHRLC. That hosted zone was created using an account that begins with 79793. You should stop updating this hosted zone because your changes won't have any effect on how internet traffic is routed for fenthouse.com.
