The domain won't open!!

0

After my account was closed on June 26th, I completed the payment of the missing fees and restored it yesterday (September 9th). However, the company website I was previously connected to is not opening. What steps should I take?

If your website isn't opening after restoring your AWS account, there are several potential causes and steps you can take to resolve this issue:

  1. Check your domain registration status: Run a "whois" command on your domain to verify it's still registered. If your account was closed for an extended period, your domain registration might have expired.

  2. Verify DNS configuration: Ensure your domain's DNS records (particularly the A record) are correctly pointing to your website's IP address. DNS settings might need to be reconfigured after account restoration.

  3. Check your hosting service status: If you're using services like EC2 or Lightsail, verify that your instances are running. They may have been stopped during the account closure period.

  4. Review security settings: Check that your firewall or security group settings allow incoming traffic on the necessary ports (typically 80 for HTTP and 443 for HTTPS).

  5. Test DNS propagation: DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate across the internet. Use online DNS propagation checkers to verify if the issue is global or localized.

  6. Clear your browser cache: Sometimes browsers cache DNS information. Try accessing your site in incognito mode or from a different device/network.

  7. Check web server configuration: Ensure your web server (Apache, Nginx, etc.) is properly configured and running.

  8. Review error logs: Check your web server's error logs for any specific issues that might be preventing your site from loading.

If after trying these steps your website still doesn't open, you may need to contact AWS Support for more specific assistance related to your account restoration.

Depending on how your website was being hosted in AWS, the resources may have been stopped or even deleted due to account closure.

You would need to look into your environment and the resource status
