Seeking Guidance on AWS Hosting Costs

0

I recently moved my website from GoDaddy to AWS, thinking it would be a smart move for efficiency and scalability. But I got some unexpected costs that I'd love to figure out before going any further. Currently, my website is under construction and has minimal traffic, mostly for testing. Surprisingly, I've been charged around $10 for about 1500 hours of computing time, despite AWS offering 750 hours for free. This has raised concerns about future costs once my site is fully operational and receives more traffic. I'm wondering, what can I expect in terms of costs when my site starts getting 100 and 1000 users? My bill is attached.A screenshot of my bill

Hello,

It seems that you have more than 1 EC2 instance, possibly 2 EC2 instances currently running (~730 hours x 2). Turn off the second EC2 instance to stay within the free tier.

You may want to consider using Amazon Lightsail for more predictable costs.

In regards to scaling from 100 users to 1000 users, your instance size may increase as you have more concurrent site users. It's hard to say and you need to monitor the performance of your site and increase the size of the instance if your site starts to slow down and more resources are utilized.
