How to know the current billing amount

0

I'm very new to AWS and now I just have singed up Amazon Lightsail to launch a testing website.

I'm counting on the 3-month free plan, but I'm worried about being charged without me noticing.

I tried to search the ways to know the current billing amount such as Cost Explorer and CloudTrail, but it seems every tool incur charges according to their documents. Even the default tool displayed in the Console Home, for instance, "Cost and usage", at first it shows like below: "No cost and usage data You haven't configured AWS Cost Explorer or you do not have permission. Turn on Cost Explorer" So if i turn on the tool it start incur extra charges, doesn't it?

My question is, is it possible to completely free trial for 3 month and it there a way to know the current billing amount?

PS. I have an additional question, I had to sing up AWS Management Console to post this question. Is it free of charge to sing up and use AWS Management Console? Thanks.

Hello.

Would you like to check your invoice?
If you check your bill every day, you will be able to see how much you are being charged.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awsaccountbilling/latest/aboutv2/getting-viewing-bill.html

To view invoices as an IAM user, you need to enable access as an IAM user by following the steps in the document below.
Operations on the following documents must be performed as a root user.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/IAM/latest/UserGuide/tutorial_billing.html#tutorial-billing-activate

PS. I have an additional question, I had to sing up AWS Management Console to post this question. Is it free of charge to sing up and use AWS Management Console?

Using the management console itself is free.
