Instance i-0b40cefb72ab67799 is stuck on pending start

Hello fellow colleagues, one of our instances is unable to start since yesterday. I can stop it (with and without the --force parameter), but whenever I try to start it, it remains on "Pending". I've also tried to use a different instance type without success (although several other instances are using the very same AMI and instance type without issues). Any suggestions? Thank you
