How to extract the EKS Cluster Manifests and put in Repo?

Hi Team,

The infrastructure is currently in a state where 40+ EKS clusters are running in lower and production environments, and these clusters are hosting important applications.
These were created almost two years ago using eksctl. Since we lack Kubernetes manifests, we must manually change clusters using either Kubectl or Open Lens, which is not the best practice. So we want to convert this manual approach to an automated approach so that we can make changes from IAC or establish DevOps or GitOps models, but to set this model, as you are aware, one of the basic requirements is to have the source code in the repo, which is missing. Can you provide assistance with this problem and suggest a solution?

Hi,

There are plenty of open source and paid solutions that can dump K8s manifests, so you can put them into the cluster. Here is only one of the [examples](https://github.com/WoozyMasta/kube-dump).
I think do everything at once is not the best idea, so I would start with one specific application, dump it, make Helm chart or utilise some GitOps tools to maintain plain manifests and repeat then.
