Does Amazon CloudFront cache HTTP and HTTPS requests as the same object?

If I have an object **xxx.jpg**,  and I permit both HTTP and HTTPS request to it, will Amazon CloudFront recognize the two types of requests as the same object to cache? Or, will CloudFront treat the two types of requests as different objects and create two caches?

Yes, Amazon CloudFront will recognize HTTP and HTTPS requests to the same object as the same object to cache. The two types of protocols aren't part of the [default Amazon CloudFront cache key](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudFront/latest/DeveloperGuide/understanding-the-cache-key.html#cache-key-default).
