Issue with Postgre RDS

Question

I have a Postgre RDS instance running in a t3.medium. I am running a code that reads a csv  in 250k chunks abd my issue is that after I bulk insert this 250k rows in a table, the database seems to get stuck for many hours till the next bulk insert occurs.

Can you provide more details on your issue to help you? Also, can you look at your RDS metrics while the process runs?

Sometimes may happen that the RDS reaches the max CPU or the script that is inserting the data reaches a bottleneck neck so more details will be crucial to support you.

Is the script optimized to insert data?
Are the indexes on the database causing any issues?
What type of data are you inserting?
