MSK Connect - Exposing Connector Specific Metrics

2

We're planning to use Amazon MSK connect for Debezium Postgresql Connector to streaming the change data log from a RDS database. We want to utilize the JMX metrics Provided by the Debezium to monitor the connector status. But in MSK connect we don't see the options/configurations to enable these metrics. Does MSK connect allows exposing the connect specific metrics as we do it in Apache Kafka connect?

Hi there, thank you for providing your valuable feedback on the service. As of current JMX endpoints are not exposed in MSK Connect. I have raised a feature request with the service team on your behalf. While I am unable to comment on if/when this feature may get released, I request you to keep an eye on our What's New (1) and Blog pages (2) for any new feature announcements. Currently cloudwatch metrics for connectors are available which are helpful for general understanding of the connectors state.

  • Hello Team,

Is there any update on this ? We are also planning to use MSK Connect(MySQL Debezium Connector) and need to monitor the Streaming metrics Provided by the Debezium's JMX metrics but seems still it is not supported

Could you please confirm and provide the updates on this ?

  • Is this still the case? We are also planning to move our Debezium connectors to MSK Connect but we need to get the connectors' metrics exposed via JMX. Please, let us know!
