ec2 won't respond after stopping

Hi there,
Could someone please help advise.
I stopped my instance of an EC2. Now I have started it up again and it does not seem to respond.
I cant reach the website hosted on the instance and I cant access the public IP.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be the issue?

Did you assign an elasitc IP to the instance? If not then on restart it will have been assigned a different IP.

Go to the console and check what the status of the instance is, and see if the Public IP has changed. Check the documentation for instructions on assigning an elastic IP: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/elastic-ip-addresses-eip.html

Yes this was my issue.
I had to assign an Elastic IP to my instance so it would be statically assigned and my DNS would be pointing to the correct place.
