ENI detached from FSx

Hi Team,

I have an FSx for Windows file server in a single AZ. Unfortunately the ENI got detached from the FSx and the file system went to misconfigured state.

Please let me know if there is a way to reattach it or get the FSx back to working state.

Answer

In general, customers should not modify or delete the ENI associated with their file system. As stated in the documentation, "Modifying or deleting the network interface can cause a permanent loss of connection between your VPC and your file system.”

I will reach out to you directly to get the customer/file system details and explore if there are any mitigations available.
