TLS 1.0 and 1.1

We received this action required email- [ACTION REQUIRED] - Update your TLS connections to 1.2 to maintain AWS connectivity

We are working on this now but the schedule below indicates this update will start today 9/15/23 and end 12/31/23. How much time do we have until TLS 1.0 1.1 is no longer supported? Will it work until Dec 31st or will we begin to see failures shortly?

We will begin deploying updates to the TLS configuration to a minimum of version TLS 1.2 by September 15, 2023, even if you still have connections using these versions. These deployments will complete by no later than December 31, 2023. This update removes the ability to use TLS versions 1.0 and 1.1 with all AWS APIs in all AWS Regions [1].

Hi,

You have all details about this required upgrade here : https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/tls-1-2-required-for-aws-endpoints/

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we continuously innovate to deliver you a cloud computing
environment that works to help meet the requirements of the most security-sensitive
organizations. To respond to evolving technology and regulatory standards for Transport Layer
Security (TLS), we will be updating the TLS configuration for all AWS service API endpoints to a
minimum of version TLS 1.2. This update means you will need to use of TLS versions 1.2 or higher
for your connections, with a continued gradual rollout that will complete by December 31, 2023.
In this post, we will tell you how to check your TLS version, and what to do to prepare.

Best,

Didier
