How to make changes to appConfig configurations using IaC - CDK ?

Question

We are planning to build service using Lambda. We want to use app config based configurations for lambda. We would like to understand the process to update these config values. I see we can login into AWS console and make a change. Is that recommended ? I searched in AWS docs, couldn't find a way to change these variables via CDK - Iac way. Any leads on this will be super helpful ?

CDK provides the following L1 construct to configure the Hosted Configuration values (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cdk/api/v1/docs/@aws-cdk_aws-appconfig.CfnHostedConfigurationVersion.html). There are currently no L2 constructs for AppConfig.
