Cross Region Failover + Geolocation Routing

I have deployed two instances fleets on 2 different regions behind ALB which run same application, I have configured Route53 geolocation routing policy to route traffic of users in a region to the instances in that region, now what if one of the region goes down, the users in that region will face down time, is there a way to redirect traffic of that region to another region in case of region downtime?

you can use global Accelerator for this. that will route the traffic based on your user's location, and if any fails comes it will will automatically route the traffic to another region.
