Elastic Beanstalk apps and environment disappearing

I have ran into an anomaly where i created an application and associated environment on elastic beanstalk and they seem to disappear by the next day along with any work done in/on them. Before i was experiencing an apparently know issue where the roles are created by EB for the environment so creation fails. I managed to create the application and environment successfully yesterday. when i check the list of applications and env only the freshly created one was there. Today the ones created yesterday are gone and its only showing two apps and one env created 3 days ago. This is very bizarre to me. And ideas on whats happening?
