Hi Sherlock Zhang! It appears we have an API that is failing. I see you opened a Case with AWS Support. Please reply on the case with a Request ID (found in Browser Developer Tools) when you experience the error. We will be able to provide more details through that secure channel

It appears you're experiencing an issue while trying to link your AWS account to CodeCatalyst during the onboarding process. This problem can occur due to several reasons, but there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

  1. Verify IAM permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary IAM permissions to link accounts. The error message suggests there might be an issue with your IAM settings. Double-check that you have the appropriate permissions to perform this action.

  2. Use the root user: If you're not already doing so, try logging in as the root user of the AWS account you're attempting to link. The root user typically has full permissions and might be able to complete the linking process.

  3. Clear browser cache and cookies: Sometimes, browser-related issues can interfere with the account linking process. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, then attempt the linking process again.

  4. Use a different browser or incognito mode: If the issue persists, try using a different web browser or open an incognito/private browsing window to rule out any browser-specific problems.

  5. Check for existing connections: Ensure that the AWS account you're trying to link isn't already associated with another CodeCatalyst space or project.

  6. Verify account status: Make sure that your AWS account is in good standing and that there are no outstanding issues or restrictions on the account.

If you've tried these steps and are still encountering the "could not associate account" error, it would be advisable to contact AWS Support for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance based on your account details and help resolve any underlying issues preventing the account association.
