Connecting code commit from one aws account to amplify in other aws account

This question is the follow up of https://repost.aws/questions/QUkT2FvLeBSd6WJe8YNKEsGg/how-do-we-make-different-stages-like-dev-pre-prod-and-prod-in-amplify.

We use code commit for our front end react webapp. We use amplify hosting to deploy the react code. We have code in one aws account and we have other 3 AWS accounts for dev, pre-prod and prod stages. We are able to connect the code commit repo to amplify in same account. I want to connect main branch to amplify hosting in dev aws account, qa branch to amplify hosting in pre-prod account, release branch to amplify hosting in prod. Any leads or sample reference or blogs which does this kind of setup will be super helpful.
