Workdocs Drive performance / hanging - Other on team experiencing same.

0

Whenever I click on the "look in" pull down in explorer windows, or simply navigate to any shared drive location on our Team workdocs, windows takes an astronomically long time and hangs my system for a good 30 seconds. If I close workdocs drive, this problem goes away. Is there any way to index our shared drive? A windows setting that could solve this problem? Already tried uninstalling/reinstalling.

Hiya, i recommend trying the following:

Clear the File Explorer cache. The File Explorer cache can sometimes become corrupted, which can lead to problems like the one you are experiencing. To clear the cache, open File Explorer and click on the "View" tab. Then, click on the "Options" button and select the "Folder Options" tab. In the "View" section, click on the "Clear" button under "Advanced settings". Change the File Explorer options. There are a few File Explorer options that can affect how Windows Explorer behaves when you click on the "look in" pull down or navigate to a shared drive location. To change these options, open File Explorer and click on the "View" tab. Then, click on the "Options" button and select the "Folder Options" tab. In the "Navigation" section, you can change the following options: "Show all folders" "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" "Use simple file sharing" Run an SFC scan. An SFC scan can help to repair corrupted system files, which can sometimes cause problems with Windows Explorer. To run an SFC scan, open Command Prompt as an administrator. Then, type the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow Update Windows. Microsoft often releases updates that fix problems with Windows Explorer. To check for updates, open Windows Update by clicking on the Start button and typing "Windows Update". Then, click on the "Check for updates" button.
