Cost Categories in CUDOS Dashboard

1

I have implemented the CUDOS, CID and KPI dashboards successfully. But, is there any way to add cost categories editing it in analysis or something like that? My manager wanted to see the overall cost breakdown by project, and then AWS services cost in that project as can be seen in the cost categories and cost explorer. Enter image description here

How to implement that functionality in the dashboards?

To add Cost Categories as Filter in the CIDs, please follow this Cloud Intelligence Dashboards Lab - Customizations: https://wellarchitectedlabs.com/cost/200_labs/200_cloud_intelligence/customizations/guides/1_addingtags/

In the video there is a direct example with a tag and also a Cost Category.

You can directly implement your Cost Centers in QuickSight like in Alexander Response, but if you've implemented more complex cost categories and just want to filter for them without creating a new source, following the above lab you will be able to create controls to filter out data on your dashboards.

The Well Architected workshop has been updated and you can see the updated customization details in the workshop for adding tags. Adding cost categories works the same way, the prefix of cost categories is cost_categories_* vs. the resource_tages_user_* or resource_tags_aws_*.
