Hello, I have created a jdbc connection for mysql database which is hosted on another aws ec2 instance. When create connection i dont find option for test connection. i am following a youtube video in which he has an option to test the connection but in my console there i no such option. can you help me in this regard. Thank you.

  • You can test your connection by using Legacy pages, follow the below steps.

    1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the AWS Glue console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/glue/
    2. In the navigation pane, on the left hand side, under “Legacy pages”, choose Connections (legacy).
    3. In the Test connection dialog box, select a role or choose Create IAM role to go to the AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) console to create a new role. The role must have permissions on the mysql database.
    4. Select the check box next to the desired connection, and then choose Test connection.
    5. Choose Test connection.

**Please Accept @Shahrukh_K Answer. ** I did not add anything to his answer, just gave it more visibility it while he was posting it correctly.

The only thing I can add to his answer is that the functionality is also been tracked and will be re-introduce in the new console page soon. hope this helps.
