Tutorials showing how to implement a feature using Lua would be great. Most tutorials either show basic concepts about Lua scripting, or adding existing scripts and setting script properties.

A tutorial demonstrating Lua implementation of a controllable camera or triggering a level transition would be very helpful.

I voted networking, because as a client side programmer, I would like to learn more server side skills especially security related things. For example how to make credentials, secure way to handle the user data, Anti pattern for security or detect the cheating.

Great poll! We're going to be working on script canvas content, and networking is something I've seen lots of demand for and hope to provide. As for lua, I see a fair amount of demand for and isn't on my current roadmap. Maybe the community can pick up here?

I would prefer a video tutorial series that focus on Lua scripting, intended for people who 1) know Lua programming language, and 2) watched the general introduction Lumberyard tutorial video series. (so you don't have to repeat the basics)

Maybe extend the tutorial scene with the labyrinth/maze level, and add more gameplay content, as new video series focusing on Lua scripting.

Or use the advanced character project as base and start the Lua tutorial from there, to add more gameplay scripting with Lua. Eg. walk to a horse, and jump on it to ride the horse with basic character physics enabled.

I would love one off or maybe a short series about making an FPS space combat game that allows for EVA combat.

I started a thread about the type of environment tutorials we'd like to see. Just thought I'd link to it here, in case you're interested.

These are great requests that will go into the roadmap scheduling for 2020. For the remainder of the year I've got on boarding and basic issues to get through, and once those are done I plan on tackling some of this more in depth content.

The one I love to see you do is the visual effects, but to tell you the truth you should do more with Game systems to give more people the feel for the engine with all the systems you can use to make games from the code to the visual aesthetics. It all starts with the game systems. (Just my opinion tho) 🌊

Tutorial for making a side-scrolling game. And a side note where can I make requests for editor improvements?

noted! also making a forum post is one of the best way that way the team can see it and other users can vote so they know how much the community wants something.

Hi @REDACTEDUSER Thank you so much for your two poll 🌹 well ✅ I think Script Canvas is very Important in Tutorials & Projects and AI script canvas system like cover points & crowd script canvas system like the sidewalk where people move :star_struck: In my opinion, the first issue is to implement a complete game with a script canvas open world game 😍 🎮 🕹 without a network, and Then after fixing the bugs and crashes, the next step is to add ➕ the network script canvas 🗺 to this open world game 🙂 I suggest you, like myself, focus on script canvas, NOT LUA or NOT C++ 😉 I know this will take time 😊
