How to enable compatibility mode on existing Opensearch domain

Question

Is it possible to to enable compatibility mode on existing Opensearch domain?  I found this article https://docs.aws.amazon.com/opensearch-service/latest/developerguide/rename.html and added in the cluster settings which has changed the master nodes
 but not the data nodes. I tried scaling the nodes up but they still report the opensearch version number instead of the equivalent Elasticsearch version.

I am able to edit these settings but they only effect the master services and not the nodes. The nodes are what Kibana checks for compatiblity.

Hi there, yes running the following command will enable compatibility mode in existing OpenSearch domain

```
PUT /_cluster/settings
{
  "persistent" : {
    "compatibility.override_main_response_version" : true
  }
}
```
If this is already executed, to verify if compatibility mode is enabled, run following command to list all current settings

```
GET _cluster/settings?include_defaults=true
```

And look for following section to see if compatibility mode is enabled.

```
"compatibility" : {
      "override_main_response_version" : "true"
    }
```
